John Hassett is the owner and head-instructor at Hassett's Jiu-Jitsu Club. Mr. Hassett started learning the submission and ground fighting art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 1997 from Steve Maxwell of Philadelphia and now trains with Team Balance under Phil and Rick Migliarese, also of Philadelphia.
John Hassett holds the rank of 2nd Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and is a five-time Pan American Jiu-Jitsu Gold Medalist. Mr. Hassett now devotes his time to passing his knowledge of the martial arts along to his students.

Jim Hassett is an instructor at Hassett's Jiu-Jitsu Club at the Sewell location. Jim has been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for the past 10 years. He received his black belt in October of 2011. He has trained with some of the very best Jiu-Jitsu competitors from around the world and also has a solid background in wrestling. |
Joel is an assistant instructor for the adult Jiu-Jitsu class at the Hassett's Jiu-Jitsu Club Sewell location. Joel has been training BJJ for 6 years and has won several medals at local and national tournaments. He currently holds the rank of Purple Belt (3 stripes). |
Katie is an assistant instructor for the kids' class at Hassett's Jiu-Jitsu Club and she also volunteers at most of the events at the school. She is currently enrolled in college with a duel major of early child development. She has been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for over 3 years and currently holds the rank of a Blue Belt (3 stripes) here at Hassett's Jiu-Jitsu Club. |
